NBTC Certification for Video Transmitters
Video transmitters — including combined video and audio transmitters — operating in the 470–694 MHz band require NBTC certification before they can be imported or sold in Thailand. Under NBTC regulations, this product category is certified via Supplier's Declaration of Conformity (SDoC).
What Counts as a Video Transmitter?
This page covers RF-based video transmitters designed to broadcast video — or video and audio combined — wirelessly over the 470–694 MHz band. Common product types include:
- FPV (first-person view) transmitters used in drones and RC aircraft
- AV senders for wirelessly distributing video signals within a premises
- RF modulators that transmit video over UHF frequencies
- Portable video link transmitters used in broadcast and live production
Devices operating in the 694–806 MHz range fall outside the scope of this application. Wireless microphones using that band require a separate certification — see the Wireless Microphone page.
Certification Requirements
| Application | Frequency Band | Max Transmit Power | Certification |
|---|---|---|---|
| Video Transmitter or Video & Audio Transmitter | 470–694 MHz | 10 mW | SDoC |
Required Documents
SDoC is a self-declaration path. The applicant is responsible for ensuring that supporting documentation is complete and accurate before submission.
- Technical specification or datasheet including wireless communication details
- Product photos
- Test reports
- Authorised declaration
No physical product sample submission is required.
Indicative Timeline
Additional time may be required if NBTC requests supplementary documents during review.
